The legacy of Father Basil Jellicoe, a priest who served at St Mary’s Somerstown, is one of serious engagement and action to help tackle social need in our parish. The social justice group is made up of members of the congregations of each of our four churches. They coordinate and oversee the social mission of our parish. The group’s remit includes:
- raising the profile of our parish social justice initiatives in the community, and in our churches
- strengthening and building links with existing social justice initiatives in our communities
- building resources to enable effective responses to people in need
