Thanksgiving

We are very blessed to have a number of funders who have loyally supported our work with young people for years. Without these amazing people we would not be able to do some of our most important and well established work, such as the Youth Holiday. In addition to this we also have a phenomenal team of volunteers who are involved with all the groups, from Sunday Schools, to Messy Church, to the Youth Holiday and so much more!

As such, we decided to have a thanksgiving service for all those who support us and for the young people themselves. We had a wonderful turnout and the service was followed by a light lunch during which everyone mingled and got to know each other even better!

hanks must go to all those who took part in the service, particularly to the young people who served and read.

I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

Philippians 3:12-14 (MSG)

Jesus said to the crowd: “No one lights a lamp, then hides it in a drawer. It’s put on a lamp stand so those entering the room have light to see where they’re going. Your eye is a lamp, lighting up your whole body. If you live wide-eyed in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. Keep your eyes open, your lamp burning, so you don’t get musty and murky. Keep your life as well-lighted as your best-lighted room.”

Luke 11:33-36 (MSG)
